Attention Tourists Visiting Durmitor and Northern Montenegro!
We would like to inform you about significant traffic changes due to the ongoing reconstruction of the Đurđevića Tara Bridge on the M-6 road section connecting Pljevlja and Žabljak. These changes will affect your travel plans, so please take note of the following details:
Complete Traffic Suspension on Tara Bridge:
- From August 10, 2026, at 6:00 AM until October 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM, all road traffic, including pedestrian access, will be entirely suspended due to the ongoing reconstruction of the Đurđevića Tara Bridge.
Additional Traffic Updates
- On July 29, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, there will be a total traffic suspension on the R-29 regional road due to the “17th Sports Games Mrkojevići 2026.”
- Ongoing reconstruction on the R-29 Bar-Kamenički bridge-Krute will also cause traffic suspensions for all vehicles from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- There will be a total traffic ban on the R-17 road section from December 16, 2025, until the completion of works between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- Traffic changes will also occur on the R-30 road section, with alternating traffic flow and occasional stops not exceeding 60 minutes.
